Sofa Talks Mini with Göran Stjärnfeldt

Could you tell me about yourself and briefly describe your background?

My name is Göran Stjärnfeldt, and I was born in 1957. Father to three grown kids. I have worked with sales for homes in some aspect of my entire professional life. I started in the kitchen and bathroom business and then went to home interior. 

Along with my role as Chairman of Skåne’s ice hockey association, I like to watch a lot of sports during my free time. I enjoy playing golf or go downhill skiing as often as possible, depending on the season.

What are the responsibilities of your position?

I’m the Sales Manager for the Swedish, Benelux and Icelandic markets at Furninova and Conform. My work is to provide and collect information with feedback to and from our customers, with support and efforts to develop sales and to find new potential buyers. 

Tell me about your proudest achievement.

To raise my three kids and see them grow from tots to grown mature individuals developing their own lives is a joy to watch.

Who has impacted you most in your career/life, and how?

The person who believed in me and recruited me as Sales Manager at Ballingslöv Kitchens gave me strong support, education and helped me to gain experience and sales knowledge.

If you could compare yourself with any animal, which would it be and why?

A lion because they also have a beard.

How would you sell ice cream in Antarctica?

I would create an establishment, like a spa or lounge, where the habitants of Antarctica, in a heated and well-isolated environment, like to cool down. Who doesn’t like ice cream with blueberry flavour when they are warm?
